Chef Gianni received his formal training in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, although his first teacher was his mother, Giovanna, in a small village of Comunanza, Italy. Chef Gianni has worked at some top-notch restaurants in Como, Tuscany, London, New York and Boston before settling with his family in the Mount Dora area. Gianni speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish. One of Mt Dora’s most desired restaurants.

With close access to some of the best local produce, meat, and seafood Florida has to offer, Mount Dora is a fitting location for us in terms of sourcing ingredients for our menu and connecting the restaurant with the local community that shapes our philosophy. We celebrate modern cooking while also incorporating time honored traditions of Florida. 1921 Mount Dora completes the elegant Mount Dora Modernism Museum complex. A feast for the eyes, as well as the palette, the restaurant features an extensive collection of artworks, with select pieces on loan from the Modernism Museum. This unique complex brings the art of dining to life in its truest sense.

Trimble Park
A 1.3-mile nature trail offers a family-friendly outdoor adventure beneath ancient oaks and cypresses along the shorelines of two lakes. At the end of a 71-acre peninsula, a former isthmus between Lake Beauclair and Lake Carlton in the Harris Chain of Lakes, Trimble Park is an under-the-radar beauty spot.
Lighthouse Park
Located on Tremain Street across from Gilbert Park on Lake Dora and built to represent the "Port of Mount Dora", the lighthouse appears on many symbols. Recently the "point" has undergone a major facelift and has returned to its former self - "Mount Dora’s Favorite Spot”.
The Modernism Museum
Modernism Museum is dedicated to showcasing the inspiration and design creativity in the largest known collection of Modernist art by some of the most iconic and influential American masters of the craft. The Museum offers an unprecedented collection of Fine Art and Design, one that defines the Studio Crafts Movement, from mid-century works to those being created today.
